Toll Gavel to Wednesday Market Resurfacing & Enhancement Scheme
Project Information
On 2nd October 2008 Councillor Parnaby performed a tree planting ceremony in Angel Square to mark the end of the Toll Gavel to Wednesday Market Repaving Scheme major works.
In addition to the tree planting children from Minster Primary School buried a time capsule containing drawings depicting everyday life in 2008, drawn by each of the schools 400 pupils. The time capsule is buried in Angel Square and is marked by an engraved stone tablet.
Environmentally friendly shopping bags have been produced in conjunction with the scheme and are available from Beverley Customer Services Centre, Beverley Tourist Information and all charity shops within Beverley.
